Apple Apps identified as hacked with XcodeGhost
Here are some apps identified as infected with the malicious code, XcodeGhost, that were in the Apple App Store. They have been removed from the Apple App Store, but you may want to remove them from your phone also, until they are updated and the hack is patched on these apps.

From a blog post at Palo Alto networks, the XcodeGhost malware will do the following:
- Prompt a fake alert dialog to phish user credentials;
- Hijack opening specific URLs based on their scheme, which could allow for exploitation of vulnerabilities in the iOS system or other iOS apps;
- Read and write data in the user’s clipboard, which could be used to read the user’s password if that password is copied from a password management tool.
These apps were apparently using a compromised version of Xcode from a server in China because it may have been faster to download than the official free version from Apple.
