ChompSMS provides a more customizable interface from the default messaging app. Rather than just listing the SMS messages aligned in a column, chompSMS displays the messages in colored bubbles.
ChompSMS allows a large array of customizable options. Some of these, but not limited to are:
In the Conversations screen:
– background
– bubble color
– fonts
– font size and color
– date color and font
In the Conversations List screen:
– background
– contact font and color
– message font and color
– divider color
– showing the contact photo
Other features in chompSMS include:
Quick reply – pops up a screen to reply when an SMS message arrives
Quick compose – brings up a screen to compose an SMS message by long pressing the camera button or search button
Customizable Notifications – such as icons, sounds, LED color, vibrate pattern
Blacklist – setting a contact to blacklist will hide messages from black listed contacts
Signature – adds a signature to out going messages
Speak text – speaks text
Send texts on the chompSMS network – pre-paid credits on chompSMS network
As you can see, chompSMS provides a large amount of features. And I haven’t even listed all the features. ChompSMS is the messaging app I’ve been using and I don’t see why I wouldn’t continue using it.
