What you should be using Snapchat for
Dating Apps are all the rage these days. You have Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and so many. So you’re looking through profiles quickly, see a hottie, swipe right, and BAM, you 2 match! You’re so exited you we’re able to match with this beautiful person! You look closer at their profile, and you find only one single head shot. No other pictures. Now you’re thinking, why do they only have one lonely picture of their face and nothing else? What are they trying to hide? Are they a fattie? Are they painfully malnurished? Do they have a third arm? Are they catfishing, because that’s the only pic they have?
Well, there’s only one way to find out. You’ll have to find more pictures of them. But how do you go about doing that? Flat out asking somebody for pics of themselves can be quite awkward. Like most things in life, it’s easiest to convince somebody to do something, if you show them the way. Tell them you want to share some pics of you, then they may recipricate the feeling and share their own pics. You could ask them for their number or email address and share pics through text or email. But you wouldn’t want to give your mobile number or email to somebody you just matched with. You could try to be friends with them on a social media site like facebook or instagram, and hope they have full body shots of themselves. But most people don’t really want to expose their personal life to some stranger they just matched with.
This is where Snapchat comes in. Snapchat is an app where you can send somebody a photo or video they can only see once, then it disappears. With Snapchat, you can exchange pictures and prevent having permanent pictures of each other. You can attempt to take a screen shot though. Once a screen shot is taken, the other person is notified you have taken a screen shot. But unless you’re quick with your screen shot skills, a few seconds is difficult to take a screen shot, especially when you aren’t prepared. So the next time you want to ask for more pictures of somebody, try sharing your pictures with them on Snapchat.
