Luckily I don’t suffer from fat finger syndrome, so I normally don’t have a problem typing with the default on screen keyboard. But if you do have fat clumsy fingers or maybe you’re a girl with man hands, the Big Buttons Keyboard could really help.
The Big Buttons Keyboard only works in portrait mode. In landscape mode, the default keyboard will be used. What I really found helpful was typing 1 handed, or rather 1 thumbed. I tended to make less mistakes with the Big Buttons Keyboard than the default keyboard typing one thumbed.
The layout can be changed to QWERTY, AZERTY, or QWERTZ. The different layout did take some time to getting used to, but I didn’t think it was too bad.
This version of the Big Buttons Keyboard is still missing some key features available on the default keyboard like Auto-capitalization, Quick fixes, Show suggestions and Auto-complete. For now I will continue using the default keyboard for these features, but if The Big Buttons Keyboard implements these features, I may switch to using The Big Buttons Keyboard. But if your fat pudgy little fingers can’t stand the default keyboard, then you may want to try The Big Buttons Keyboard.
