Another great app if it worked. With BUMP, you’re supposed to be able to exchange information with a simple dap of the phones. You can choose to exchange the phone number, email address, profile photo and address. There’s also an option to share a photo.
This sounds great, but it didn’t work properly. The first problem I had was adding my information. It took me multiple times to set up my contact to BUMP. It wouldn’t take it the first time, so I had to enter it 3 or 4 times before it would take.
The next problem I had was BUMP’ing the phones together to exchange the information. I was trying this with my friend who has another Android phone. We tried to BUMP the phones together, but kept on getting the error “You we’re the only person to bump”. We tried BUMP’ing slowly, BUMP’ing quickly, BUMP’ing any way we could, but we couldn’t get the 2 phones to sync up. It worked once in every 5 or 6 tries. So I tried holding both phones with my 2 hands and BUMP’ing them together. Maybe self BUMP’ing would be more successful since I could control both phones. It might have worked a little better this way, but it still took me 3 or 4 tries before I was successful. Imagine 2 drunk ass strangers trying to share contact information with BUMP’s. It would never work!
Another problem was trying to share a photo. Every time I tried to share a photo, I’d get a Force Close error.
Great idea for an App, but just doesn’t work well.
