SayMyName Donut is a wonderful app where you can set it to say the person’s name when that person calls or texts you. If the name isn’t in your address book, you can set it to say the number calling. It also works with Ringdroid to customize your ring tone and Locale to control it. It can also exclude a person’s name from being said
It utilizes the Text To Speech feature so make sure that’s downloaded. It usually pronounces names correctly.
The SayMyName Donut volume is a little low though, so sometimes I can’t hear it over my ring tone. So there’s an option to disable the ring tone and only announce the name. When I feel like using SayMyName Donut, I’ll choose this option. It’s helpful when you want to know who’s calling you without having to look at the phone.
