Don’t Forget To Have Safe Sex And Use Your Smartphone – The Sexual Health Guide App

The days of parents giving their children the “chat” about the birds and bees seem to be a thing of the past. In fact, most children know far more about sex, and are maybe even sexually active far sooner than then parents would ever have imagined. Sexual education was little more than an uncomfortable few lessons many years ago, but even this has evolved since. With that being said, it’s obvious that most kids still have many unanswered questions when it comes to sex.

However, even as we reach adulthood many of us may still have many of these unanswered questions that we are perhaps too embarrassed to ask anyone about. It’s almost as though you have reached an age where you should automatically know things about sex and your sexual health in general, but this isn’t always the case. This is where the Sexual Health Guide app comes in extremely handy.

What does the app do?

The Sexual Health Guide app will present a huge amount of information on sexual health and can help you to become a sexually healthy person. There is a wide variety of information covered, including contraception, common myths and misconceptions about sex, information about sexually transmitted diseases (STIs), and even advice about where to find help and support locally to you.

The app has many different videos, as well as reading information about sexual health. You will even find help on a variety of subjects that aren’t typically covered by parents, sexual education or anyone else for that matter. These include things such as the relationship between drugs or alcohol and their effects on sexual performance, how to recognise certain symptoms of potential STIs and how to diagnose yourself for these properly. You will also be given access to a number of websites, as well as contact information for local STI clinics, etc.

Where can you get the app?

The Sexual Health Guide app is available for both Apple and Android users. For Apple users the app is free and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPhone touch. It will require iOS 4.3 or later and has been fully optimized for iPhone 5. The latest updated version was released on March 5 2013. The Android version will require Android 2.1 and upwards and was last updated on July 24 2012. It is once again free through Android. You must, however, be at least 17 years of age to download this app, as it contains regular and fairly intense sexual content, as well as nudity.

Unfortunately, sexual health is a subject that most people are scared to talk about, and this even includes with their doctor. There is a certain taboo and embarrassment attached to talking about sexual activity and especially when you want to know more. However, in the modern day and age there’s a smart phone app for just about everything and your sexual health is no different. Just about every conceivable question you may have about sex, including everything mentioned above and even your sexual orientation is covered within this app.

Today’s guest author, Jenny Wadlow, is a freelance writer. She is conscious towards the various predicaments women go through and gives out tips and advices that would help them along the way. In her opinion, although the cost of abortion of a normal procedure is more than that of a surgical one, the surgical approach is safer.
